As I've probably and boringly repeated thousands of times, I'm a big fan of Pearl Jam. One of the things I love most of this band is their live approach: no fixed setlists, no greatest hits tyranny, a lot of b-sides, covers, surprises. When you go to a Pearl Jam concert, you can't know what they're going to play. More Springsteen than U2.
Well, it seems that Eddie Vedder got the same habit. In March, he played an Australian solo tour: 14 concerts and... 76 different songs! 14 were from his own albums (Into the Wild soundtrack, the forthcoming Ukulele Songs...), 28 from Pearl Jam repertoire, 34 covers.
Some days ago, I published the full list on my Italian blog. Now I've made a Spotify playlist out of it. With a kind of anarchist touch. Many PJ songs are live versions (especially from Benaroya unplugged). Some covers are not played by the original artists. Where possible, I tried to keep an acoustic mood similar to that of Vedder's concerts. It's a strange playlist. Very fan oriented. But tonight I loved listening to it, while drinking a beer and watchin' Chelsea-ManUtd on tv. Maybe you'll like it too. Enjoy!
